Punta Gorda, FL
On January 9-11th, 2023, Altarum will sponsor and exhibit at the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Multiple Pathways of Recovery Conference (MPRC) held in Punta Gorda, Florida. The team will be led by Erin Etwaroo, project manager for our Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Training and Technical Assistance (COSSAP TTA) program on peer recovery support services.
Since 1998, CCAR has advocated for recovery communities and provided recovery support services for Connecticut and beyond, including 45 states and 8 countries. They have established Recovery Community Centers, partnered with local emergency rooms to provide crisis assistance, provided services for young people and families affected by substance use, and facilitated the nationally recognized Recovery Coach Academy©. The goal of CCAR’s Multiple Pathways of Recovery Conference is to gather the nation’s leading recovery leaders in order to discuss the practices, methods, rituals, and belief systems that foster long-term recovery.
Our team will sponsor and exhibit at this event to promote our work in peer recovery training and support. Altarum’s efforts in this area center on providing technical assistance to organizations at the state and local level who want to integrate peer recovery support services, which increases recovery capital throughout the organizations and with the peers the programs support.
