The National Association of Peer Supporters (N.A.P.S.) is nonprofit organization founded by a a small group of peer support specialists in Michigan in 2004. The organization now includes members from every state and several countries, who come together to share their ideas and innovations, exchange resources and information, and provide unified consensus concerning issues affecting peer supporter communities. The NAPS 2022 annual conference will be held in Dallas, Texas from October 19–21, 2022, with the theme “The Value and Values of Peer Support.”
Altarum will attend and exhibit at the conference in support of our work in peer recovery training and support. Through funding from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), we lead the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Training and Technical Assistance (COSSAP TTA) Center on peer recovery support services (PRSS). Through the Center, we work with a broad cross-section of community institutions to integrate PRSS into a variety of criminal justice programs and settings.
At the N.A.P.S 2022 conference, we will share information on BJA COSSAP’s training and technical assistance service offering and how to participate in the program’s 2022 Peer Recovery Support Services Mentoring Initiative (PRSSMI). Applications for PRSSMI are accepted on a rolling basis. Learn more by downloading the forms below.
