Join Altarum at ISPOR 2022 on Monday, May 16th for the panel discussion of “Defining and Operationalizing No-Value Care” hosted by Dr. Mark Fendrick, director of the University of Michigan’s Value-based Insurance Design (VBID) Center, with panelists Dr. Beth Beaudin-Seiler, senior analyst in Altarum’s applied research and analytics practice area, and Dr. Peter Neumann, director of the Center for Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health at the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies at Tufts Medical Center.
ISPOR 2022 is the leading global conference for health economics and outcomes research and runs May 15-18, 2022, virtually and in-person in National Harbor, Maryland.
The work that will be presented aims to identify a list of services that meet the criteria of no-value in relation to clinical benefit, patient demand, or clinical nuance. Operationalizing a no-value care definition may help policymakers and decision-makers implement strategies to eliminate these services.
Altarum has been active in the effort to reduce or eliminate low-value care in health care—leading the Research Consortium for Health Care Value Assessment in partnership with VBID Health.
