Altarum at National Clinical Training Center for Family Planning’s 2022 National Reproductive Health Conference

The National Clinical Training Center for Family Planning’s (NCTCFP) 10th Annual National Reproductive Health Conference (NRHC) will be a hybrid event held August 9–12, 2022. The in-person National Reproductive Health Conference will be held in the San Francisco Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, CA. Virtual live streaming and on-demand options are also available for both in-person and virtual attendees.

Behavioral Health Program Director Jessica McDuff and Quality Improvement Advisor Lead La’Tia Baulckim will present “Full Steam Ahead: LINKing Family Planning and Behavioral Health Providers.”  This session (Breakout Session 18) will share the experiences, preliminary impact, lessons learned, and future directions of the OPA-funded, “Opportunities and Barriers for Linking Family Planning Services and Substance Use Disorder Screening and Treatment,” or LINK Study.

LINK Study: Integrating Care is Critical to Best Serve our Communities
Covid-19 has overextended many providers. At the same time, the heightened stress, loneliness, and anxiety faced by their patients exacerbates the ongoing opioid crisis. Addressing both challenges requires new tools and workflows.

To help, Altarum is offering free cross training, ongoing technical assistance, and $3,000 organizational stipend to equip providers with the skills to screen and refer their clients. This in-person or virtual training will be scheduled at your convenience and will use fun, interactive activities, teach-backs, and role-playing to build on the knowledge and experience of participants, and enhance collaboration between the two organizations.
