The 2022 NACCHO360 Annual Conference will help local health officials envision the future of local public health in their communities and provide them with the essential skills and strategies to achieve that vision effectively and efficiently.

In the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase, NACCHO will host live interoperability demonstrations of standards‐based health information exchange. These demonstrations will show how seamless health information exchange in public health can contribute to improved outcomes and more engaged consumers.

Troy Abrahams, Charisse LaVell, and Laura Rappleye from Altarum’s Public Health Systems team will participate in the Maternal Health Interop Showcase. They will play the role of a public health agency receiving the electronic newborn screening results from a hospital. In this scenario, the receipt of the case report in the information system indicates that the baby did not pass the hearing screen.  The newborn screening staff acts to provide the pediatrician and family with guidance on follow-up care for a potential hearing loss for the newborn.

The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the national organization representing local health departments, supports efforts that protect and improve the health of all people and all communities by promoting national policy, developing resources and programs, seeking health equity, and supporting effective local public health practice and systems.

Not attending? We can conduct a virtual demonstration for you.  Connect with Jim Kamp, director of strategic partnerships, Public Health Systems.
