Tuesday, June 07 - Wednesday, June 08, 2022
PACE Association of Michigan will host their second Annual Conference on June 7-8, 2022. This year's conference will be held virtually and will offer exceptional education focusing on leadership, strategy, and operations.
Altarum’s Christine Stanik and Sarah Slocum will present, “PACE and COVID: How this Gem Sparkled During a Public Health Emergency” on Wednesday, June 8 at 11:30 am ET. This workshop will focus on Altarum’s AHRQ funded research project that is exploring how PACE organizations across the country continued to care for their participants as the nation was thrust into a pandemic.
The presentation will describe the two arms of the project: The comparison arm – a fully quantitative exploration of health and healthcare cost outcomes for PACE participants and a matched cohort of fee for service beneficiaries over four time periods and the adaptations arm that uses first-hand accounts from PACE directors – gathered via surveys and in-depth interviews – to illustrate the creative and flexible ways PACE adapted its service delivery to care for a population that was intensely vulnerable to the ravaging effects of COVID-19.
