With Funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Altarum Center for Sustainable Health Spending presents Sustainable U.S. Health Spending in the Next Administration
As the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and a strengthening economy continue to expand health insurance coverage, health spending growth has trended above its recent historic lows. To what extent has this imperiled longer-term sustainability and what should the next Administration do about cost control? This fifth Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-funded symposium occurred 4 months before the 2016 presidential election. It provided an update on health politics and divergent policy choices, a discussion of health care and resultant fiscal pressures, and peered into future health spending trends.
