Join Altarum for our final webinar in a series on solutions to ensure quality of life and equity for aging Americans.

By the end of this decade, more than 20 percent of the U.S. population will be 65 and older, living in a vibrant multi-generational society that offers older adults the freedom to continue making contributions to their families and communities, and to society at large. But what does it look like to be fully enabled and engaged as an older adult, and what actions can we take to ensure aging Americans remain empowered to choose how and where they live?

Join the webinar to learn:

  • The experience of people of color in long-term care and practices and protocols that could improve daily interactions on a person-to-person level
  • Changes at the state or federal level that would have the greatest impact in addressing ongoing issues in long-term supports and services
  • How disparities and lifelong disadvantages in the larger culture play out in long-term supports and services
  • Whether and how improvements to benefit direct care workers, such as increased wages and benefits and additional supports, could improve quality of care
  • What the next generation of policy makers should do to improve the situation for women, people of color, and socio-economically disadvantaged groups
