Margaret Wilkin, MPH, a senior analyst in Altarum’s Center for Women’s Health is co-author of the research article “Breastfeeding Duration Is Associated with WIC Site-Level Breastfeeding Support Practices,” which was selected for the 2021 Best Article Award by the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB).
With funding from the Food and Nutrition Service of USDA, the article provides the results from a secondary analysis of the data from the WIC Infant and Toddler Feeding Practices Study−2 describing breastfeeding supports available at WIC sites and examining the relationship between breastfeeding supports and breastfeeding outcomes among WIC participants.
Altarum presented on this research and received the award at the SNEB 2021 Annual Conference—Raising Reliance and Resilience. The conference is a premier event for nutrition education professionals from around the world.
