This month's Health Sector Economic Indicator Briefs reduce estimates of national health spending by 0.57% for all of 2016 and 0.65% for the first 5 months of 2017. Health care hiring once again showed strong growth in July, adding 39,400 new jobs. Unexpectedly falling in June was annual health care price growth, which at 1.5% was the lowest growth rate recorded since May 2016.
